Where to stay on Diani:
— North Diani (near Ukunda/Jadini): closer to the Ukunda airstrip, busiest section.
— Central Diani: the main strip. Most restaurants, beach bars, water sports operators.
— South Diani: quieter, more private, larger plot villas.
— Galu Beach: the southern extension. Kite surf capital of Kenya (Trade Winds kitesurfing school). More natural, fewer hotels.

Wildlife: The Diani Colobus Trust protects the Angolan colobus population in the coastal forest — these extraordinary black-and-white primates are endemic to the Diani forest and nowhere else on the coast.

Getting to Diani

Ukunda Airstrip (DIU) receives regular Safarilink flights from Wilson Airport Nairobi (50 minutes). By road from Mombasa: 35 km via the Likoni Ferry crossing — 45–60 minutes total. Ferry is free for pedestrians; vehicles queue.
