Santorini: where to stay
Oia — the famous blue domes. Most photographed village in Greece. Premium prices for caldera-edge suites. Book well in advance.
Imerovigli — 'balcony of Santorini'. The highest point of the caldera. Quieter than Oia, equally spectacular views, better value.
Fira — the capital. Most central, best nightlife, caldera views, shopping. Busiest area.
Firostefani — between Fira and Imerovigli. Caldera edge at slightly lower prices than Oia.
Perissa / Perivolos — the black sand beach villages. Quieter, budget-friendly, very different energy from the caldera villages.
