โ We use only the minimal cookies needed to keep you logged in and the app running. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or analytics that profile you individually.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They help websites remember information about your visit โ such as your login session โ so you don't have to log in again every time you return.
In addition to traditional cookies, we use browser local storage (a similar technology built into modern browsers) to store certain preferences and session data locally on your device.
Apatmento uses only two categories of cookies/storage:
| Name / Key | Type | Category | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project>-auth-token |
Cookie / Local Storage | Essential | Supabase authentication session token. Keeps you logged in to your account. Without this, you would be logged out on every page navigation. | Session / 1 week (refresh token) |
apa_ref |
Local Storage | Functional | Stores the referral code from the URL when you land on Apatmento via a referral link. Used to attribute sign-ups to the correct referrer for commission purposes. Cleared after account registration. | Until sign-up or 30 days |
apa_prefs |
Local Storage | Functional | Stores your UI preferences such as theme (light/dark), notification settings, and onboarding completion state. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers. | Until manually cleared |
apa_push_token |
Local Storage | Functional | Stores your browser push notification subscription token locally. This token is also stored in our database (linked to your account) to deliver push notifications. Only set if you opt in to notifications. | Until push permission revoked |
We load the Geist and Inter typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these font files, Google's servers log your IP address. This is inherent to how web fonts work. Google Fonts does not set cookies or track users for advertising purposes. For details, see Google Fonts Privacy FAQ.
We use rel="preload" and media="print" loading techniques to minimise the font load and avoid render-blocking requests.
Browser settings: You can control and delete cookies through your browser's settings. Note that clearing authentication cookies will log you out of Apatmento.
Push notifications: You can revoke push notification permission at any time through your browser's site settings (usually accessible via the lock/info icon in the address bar). This will stop new push notifications immediately.
Local storage: You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings. This will log you out and reset your UI preferences.
If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this page and notify you via email if the change is material.
