Lagos booking tips
- Always factor in traffic. Lagos traffic is legendary. A meeting in VI from Lekki can take 15 minutes or 90 minutes depending on time of day. Plan your base around where you'll spend most time.
- Book with confirmed generator. Power outages (NEPA) are common across Lagos. Confirm your apartment has a standby generator before booking — the best ones run 24/7.
- Use Uber/Bolt exclusively. Never use roadside taxis in Lagos. Uber and Bolt are safe, metered and widely available across VI, Lekki and Ikoyi.
- Water supply. Most Lagos apartments have borehole water and storage tanks. Confirm water reliability before booking for longer stays.
- Book on Cabana. Zero commission — the price you see is exactly what you pay, and exactly what the landlord receives.
